Hi,

I tried to decode following MP3-file (on the laudspeaker) with MorseDecoder, but it fails: http://www.mydarc.de/dl8kan/guenax-bc_dt.mp3

Why?

Hi:

I just played the mp3 file on my PC and decoded with morse decoder. It decodes fine. Morse Decoder decodes all the letter. Only the spacing between the word are to short and Morse Decoder doesn’t add as space between the words. Other than that the letters are getting decoded fine. Can you tell me what phone you are using? Does the signal show up on the waterfall ?

Hi,

I tried it on a HTC Desire. I saw the waterfall. And only when I changed the “Waterfall sensitivity” to “low”the MorseDecoder was able to decode some letters. The text should be in german, but I couldnĀ“t read the decoded text. It was unreadable :-( ( Strange…

I have here a Huawei Ideos X3. Maybe I will try to decode with that Android phone.

Thanks

Hi,

The sensitivity of the waterfall should have any effect on the decoding performance I the Morse Decoder doesn’t change anything to the audio signal. The Huawei Ideos X3 has kind of a slow CPU (600Mhz) but it should work on a HTC Desire.

Hi,

I tried it with the Huawei Ideos X3, but the result was the same as with the HTC Desire: Many letters are missing.

Could somebody please decode the mp3-file above (or this one: http://www.mydarc.de/dl8kan/guenax-bc_en.mp3) and send me an Email with the decoded text?

Thanks

Hi Wolphi,

yes, geocaching is my hobby. Thank you very much for the decoded text. I decoded the german text, but – as I wrote above – many letters (and some numbers) were not decoded properly. I had the coordinates but your decoder forgot the last number of the north and east koordinates.

Because this is a mystery-geocache – please delete the decoded text which you posted above. Other geocachers had to find out themselves, that the mp3-file is a morse-code.

Thank You!
