My Toshiba Thrive tablet has USB ports. Can DroidPSK use the USB port to operate the “Tigertronics SL1-USB” interface? The Tigertronics unit is basically an external soundcard with interface.

The Tigertronics people only said that my tablet has to support “Class 1 USB audio devices.” I don’t know if it does. I wonder if anyone has experience with this.

(Alternatively, and more simply, I could wire up a 4-conductor plug for the Tablet, and use the non-USB version of the Tigertronics product.) But my question is whether DroidPSK can use a Toshiba Thrive USB port to drive an external USB soundcard interface unit. (Probably with the external unit having its own power source.)

I wonder if u made any progress on this issue? I just got an Acer tab and it also has a full size USB. I plugged in my signal link USB into it, and it powered up. Don’t know if it the Acer has the drivers, but if this software interfaces with it, it would make a great combination!

I just did some research on connecting a external USB Audio device to Android. I didn’t find anything useful other that people say it will not work.

I think your tablet needs drivers for the external sound card and as far as I know they are not implemented in the Android.

If anyone else has more information I would would appreciate if someone could post it here
